Tropical Cyclone-04A (NILOFAR) Weakened into Low Pressure Area in Arabian Sea

Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has further weakened into a Low Pressure Area and now located at Lat. 21.5°N and Long. 65.0°E about 460 km in south-southwest of Karachi. The Low Pressure Area is almost stationary and likely to dissipate gradually over the water on Saturday.  At present the estimated average sustained wind speed around is 15-25 Knots gusting up to 35 Knots. 

Under the influence of this weather system, scattered rain/thundershowers are expected in Lower Sindh and the adjoining coast of Lasbella during next 24. The sea conditions along Pakistan coast will remain rough till Saturday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan may resume their activities from Sunday.

Tropical Cyclone-04A (NILOFAR) Weakened into Depression in Arabian Sea

Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has weakened into a Depression and now located at Lat. 21.2°N and Long. 65.2°E, about 490 km in south-southwest of Karachi. The Depression is almost stationary and likely to further weaken into a “Low Pressure Area” today evening/night then it would move slightly north-westward before dissipation over the water on Saturday.  At present the estimated average sustained wind speed around is 20-30 Knots gusting up to 40 Knots. 

Under the influence of this weather system, scattered rain/thundershowers with few heavy falls are expected in Lower Sindh and the adjoining coast of Lasbella during next 24 to 36 hrs. The sea conditions along Pakistan coast will remain rough/very rough till Saturday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan may resume their activities from Sunday.

Tropical Cyclone-04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has weakened rapidly and converted into a “Cyclonic Storm” and now located at Lat. 20.4°N and Long. 64.6°E, about 560 km in southwest of Karachi. The Cyclonic Storm would continue to move north-eastward with a speed of 12 km/hour in next 24 hours.  At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 996 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 45-50 Knots gusting up to 55 Knots.  The Cyclonic Storm is likely to further weaken into a Depression over the water in Northeast Arabian Sea near the coast of Lower Sindh (Thattah) and Indian Gujrat on Friday evening/night.

Under the influence of this Cyclonic Storm, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh and the adjoining coast of Lasbella from tonight till Saturday. The sea conditions along Pakistan coast are likely to remain rough to very rough on Friday/Saturday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in the sea on Friday/Saturday.

Tropical Cyclone 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

Very Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea is weakening gradually and it has been converted into a Severe Tropical cyclone, located at Lat. 19.8°N and Long. 64.2° E about 650 km in southwest of Karachi and 610 km southeast of Gawadar. The Cyclone would continue to move north-eastward (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat) with a speed of 14 km/hour in next 24 hours.  At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclone is 994 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 70-80 Knots gusting up to 90 Knots.  The Cyclone is likely to cross the adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat as a Depression with a wind speed of 70-80 km/hour gusting up to 90 km/hour on Friday evening/night.

Under the influences of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh  and adjoining coastal areas of Balochistan from today (evening) till Saturday. The sea conditions along Pakistan coast are likely to remain rough to very rough from today (evening) till Saturday and the fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised to keep their activities suspended up till Saturday.

Tropical Cyclone - 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

 Very Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has re-curved north-eastward and now located at Lat. 19.5°N and Long. 62.3° E about 800 km in southwest of Karachi and 680 km south of Gawadar. The Cyclone would continue to move in the same direction (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat) with a speed of 14 km/hour in next 24 hours.  At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclone is 996 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 90-100 Knots up to 110 Knots.  The Cyclone would start weakening on Thursday afternoon and is very likely to cross the adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat as a Cyclonic Storm or Depression with a wind speed of 70-80 km/hour gusting to 100 km/hour on Friday night.

 Under the influences of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan on Thursday and Friday.

The sea conditions along Pakistan coast are likely to remain rough to very rough on Thursday/Friday and the fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in the sea during next two days.

Tropical Cyclone - 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

Very Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has moved northward during last 12hours and now located at Lat. 18.3°N and Long. 62.0°E, about 875 Km in southwest of Karachi and 740 Km south of Gawadar. The Cyclone would move northeastward (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat) in next 24 hours with a speed of 13 Km/hour.  At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclone is 990 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 100-110 Knots up to 120 Knots. 

Under the influences of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan from today till Saturday (morning).

The sea conditions along Pakistan coast have become rough and likely to become very rough today (night). The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea today till Saturday.

Tropical Cyclone - 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

Very Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea is now located at Lat. 16.0°N and Long. 61.6°E, about 1120 km in southwest of Karachi and 1010 Km south of Gawadar. The Cyclone is likely to move northward in next 24 hours with a speed of 05 Km/hour. The TC would re-curve northeastwards (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat) on Wednesday. At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclone is 990 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 90-100 gusting up to 110 Knots. 

Under the influence of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan during Wednesday (night) to Friday.

The sea conditions along Pakistan coast have become rough and likely to become very rough from tomorrow. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea from Wednesday to Friday.

 Tropical Cyclone - 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

 Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has intensified into a Very Severe Tropical Cyclone and is now located at Lat. 15.8°N and Long. 61.8°E, about 1120 km in southwest of Karachi and 1030 Km south of Gawadar. The Cyclone would continue to move in northwest direction today with a speed of 06 Km/hour and is expected to re-curve northeastwards (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat) on Wednesday. At present the estimated central pressure of Cyclone is 990 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 90-100 gusting up to 110 Knots. 

Under the influence of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan during Wednesday (night) to Friday.

 The sea conditions along Pakistan coast would be rough to very rough from Wednesday to Friday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea from Wednesday to Friday. The fishermen who are already in the open sea are advised to return to coastal areas before Wednesday.

Tropical Cyclone 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

 Severe Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea is intensifying gradually and is located at Lat. 15.5°N and Long. 61.9°E, about 1140 kms south-southwest of Karachi and 1060 Km south of Gawadar. Meteorological conditions in the region indicate that Severe Tropical Cyclone (STC) may further intensify into a “Very Severe Tropical Cyclone” tonight. Severe Tropical Cyclone is likely to move further northwest ward (towards Oman Coast) with a speed of 08 km/hour during next 24 hours, and after that it would re-curve northeastward (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh and Indian Gujrat). At present the estimated central pressure of STC is 992 hpa and the average sustained wind speed around is 65 to 75 gusting up to 85 Knots. 

 Under the influence of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan during Wednesday (night) to Friday.

 The sea conditions along Pakistan coast would be rough to very rough from Wednesday to Friday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea from Wednesday to Friday. The fishermen who are already in the open sea are advised to return to coastal areas before Wednesday.

Tropical Cyclone 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

Tropical Cyclone (Nilofar) in Arabian Sea has intensified into a Severe Tropical Cyclone with an intensity of T3.5. Meteorological conditions in the region indicate that the weather system may further intensify into a “Very Severe Tropical Cyclone” on Monday night or Tuesday morning. Severe Tropical Cyclone is located at Lat. 15.0°N and Long. 61.9 °E, about 1200 kms south-southwest of Karachi and 1120 Km south of Gawadar.. The cyclone is likely to move further west-northwest ward (towards Oman Coast) with a speed of 08 km/hr during next 24/36 hours, then it would re-curve northeastward (towards adjoining coastal areas of Lower Sindh  and Indian Gujrat).

Under the influence of this Cyclone, widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan during Wednesday (night) to Friday.

The sea conditions along Pakistan coast would be rough to very rough from Wednesday evening to Friday. The fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea from Wednesday to Friday.  Tropical Cyclone Advisory No.1 

Tropical Cyclone 04A (NILOFAR) in Arabian Sea

 The Deep Depression formed over central western parts of Arabian Sea has converted into a Tropical Cyclone (TC) and named as 04A (Nilofar) which may further intensify into a Severe Tropical Cyclone during next 36-48 hours. TC is now located at Lat. 14.5°N and Long. 62.0 °E, about 1250 kms south-southwest from Karachi, 1175 Km south from Gawadar, 730 Km southeast from Masirah Island and 880 Km east-southeast from Salalah coast (Oman).

 The cyclone is likely to move initially northwestwards direction during next 24/36 hours and then it may recurve northeastwards.

 Scattered Rain-Thundershowers accompanied by strong gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi and Coastal Areas of Balochistan during Wednesday to Friday.

 The sea conditions along Pakistan coast may be rough to very rough from Wednesday evening to Friday.

 Therefore, the fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised not to venture in open sea from Wednesday to Friday. The fishermen who are in the open sea are advised to return to coastal areas before Wednesday evening.
